Ryan ProngRyan Prong, B.Th, M.Div (Cand.), Apologist - Ryan represents one of the few qualified, new, young stars on the Catholic Apologetics scene in Canada. Be sure to check out his articles for a fresh and insight look at the same old problems.

After completing a degree in theological studies at the University of Toronto, Ryan has gone on to begin a second and graduate degree in theology with an emphasis on ecumenical studies and dogmatic theology with a view to completing a doctorate in the subject.

Ryan is a convert, having been received into the Roman Catholic Church during the Easter Vigil, 1996. He is, like many converts, keenly interested in apologetic or controversial theology, and he has carried on numerous letter exchanges (numbering in the hundreds of pages) with members of the Evangelical and Eastern Orthodox communities. These letters have including in-depth discussions on, among other things, the topics of Justification, the Sacraments, Mary, the Papacy, Church history, and the Filioque controversy.

In addition to his studies, Ryan works as a teaching assistant for the Toronto District Catholic School Board, where he also coaches football, soccer, and basketball. Ryan is a member of the Intercollegiate Studies Institute, Phi Kappa Sigma International Fraternity at the University of Toronto, and the High Park Chesterton Society.

Ryan lives in Toronto, where he is currently at work on several projects, including a biography of Israel Zolli.
